2018 — Building the Foundation of Hope

  • Three prime properties adjoining Hameed Al Husseinie College , Colombo 12, Sri Lanka were acquired and donated for the new land project, valued at LKR 100 million, through the unwavering generosity of our Chairman, S. S. U. Jainul Abdeen. This visionary gift laid the cornerstone for the future of thousands of students.

2018 — Investing in the Future of Learning

From modernizing the Principal and Deputy Principal offices to renovating primary school buildings, a Counselling Unit and extracurricular activity room of Hameed Al Husseinie College, Colombo 12, Sri Lanka—LKR 12 million was dedicated to nurturing an environment where administrative activities can run smooth and children could learn with dignity and joy.

2021 — Standing Strong in Times of Crisis

As the pandemic tightened its grip and floods battered vulnerable families, we stood beside them. We distributed dry-ration packs during COVID-19 outbreak for 5,000 families residing in Colombo 1-15 Municipal limits, Kolonnawa, Megoda Kolonnawa, Gothotuwa, Welewatta, Kelaniya, Maligawatte, Mahabuthgamuwa as well as Welihena. We also supplied emergency cleaning supplies as well as much needed utensils for the families residing in Wellampitiya, Megoda Kolonnawa, Gothotuwa, Brandiyawatte as well as Mabola who were affected by flash floods. We contributed LKR 30 million in these lifesaving relief activities.

Light for Life signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hameed Al Husseinie College, Colombo 12, Sri Lanka, pledging to advance education, extracurricular activities and school administration in alignment with national reforms. This partnership represents our commitment to systemic, long-term change.

2023 — Extending Humanity Beyond Borders

When Türkiye was struck by a devastating earthquake, we reached out with solidarity. A contribution of LKR 10 million was made to the Türkiye Earthquake Relief Fund and presented to H.E. Demet Sekercioglu, Ambassador of Türkiye to Sri Lanka, reaffirming that compassion knows no boundaries.

2024 — Reviving Dreams, Rebuilding Futures

After six years of delay due to economic constraints faced by the Ministry of Education of Western Provincial Council, Light for Life completed the construction of Advanced Level Building at Fathima Muslim Ladies College, Colombo 12, Sri Lanka—a project worth LKR 35 million. Today, countless young women step into that building with renewed hope for their futures.

2024 — Technology Meets Education

  • At Wolfendhal Girls High School, Colombo 12, Sri Lanka, we supported the renovation of a Smart Classroom—bringing digital learning tools and modern resources to classrooms, ensuring that every female child has access to education that prepares them for the world ahead.
